Jeff Roudabush is the Operations and Production Manager at Jacob's Pillow Dance. Recently, Jeff completed his MFA coursework in Scenic Design, Lighting Design and Technical Direction at UMKC's Department of Theatre. At UMKC, Jeff designed scenery for the world premiere of Megan Mostyn-Brown's
The Secret Lives of Losers and Seamus Heaney's
The Cure at Troy. He has also designed lights for theatre, opera and dance, including Moliere's
Tartuffe. In addition to designing, Jeff has extensive experience in Technical Direction. Jeff completed his undergraduate training at the University of Richmond, VA where he received a BA in Theatre with minors in Classical Civilizations and Dance. After matriculating, Jeff worked at Richmond's Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatres as an Assistant Technical Director. In 2002, Jeff moved to Chicago where he became the Shop Foreman for University Theater at the University of Chicago. Before leaving for his graduate studies, Jeff was promoted to Technical Director where he supervised student crews in all aspects of backstage theatrical work, including set design and construction, lighting, sound, and costumes. Over the summers between grad school, Jeff was the Technical Director for the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC and the Ted Shawn Theatre Production Coordinator at Jacob's Pillow. Jeff currently resides in Massachussets.
